The Lady RedHawks of GJHS Track flew right by the Northside Huskies Thursday night in their last regular meet of the season. The 7th grade girls won their competition, 46-42, and the 8th grade girls won 70-29. Congratulations to all our athletes on a successful season!

Special shout outs go to our top scorers of the night.

7th grade scorers: Aleia Ellison, 1st place in the 100-meter hurdles and 1st place in the long jump, Destiny Sanchez, 1st place in the 100 and 200-meter dashes, and 1st place in the high jump, Rebeca Hernandez, 3rd place in the long jump and  3rd place in the 800-meter run, Kieran Adair, 2nd place in both the shot put and discus, Sophia Diaz, 2nd place in the 800-meter run, Cecylia Gomez Wengerd, 2nd place in the long jump, Sydney Collins, 3rd place in the shot put, and Audrey Garcia, 3rd place in the discus.  The 4X100-meter relay team of Aleia Ellison, Destiny Sanchez, Sira Green, and Cecylia Gomez Wengerd also took first place for the 7th grade girls.

8th grade scorers: Aubrie Collins, 1st place in the shot put and the discus, Jiana Camacho, 1st place in the 100 and 200-meter dashes, Sydney McLaughlin, 1st place in the 800 and the 1600-meter runs, Emilia Martin, 3rd place in the 800-meter run and 2nd 1600-meter, Chloe Lynn, 2nd place in the 200-meter dash and 3rd place in the 100-meter dash, Norah Osborne, 1st place in the 400-meter dash,  Steffi Diaz, 2nd place in the 400-meter dash, Magdalena Miller, 2nd place in the high jump and 3rd place in the 1600-meter run, Teiya Ward, 3rd place in the long jump, Rebekah Hernandez, 2nd place in the discus and 3rd place in the shot put, Kathryn Sleeseman, 3rd place in the discus, and Claire Schrock, 1st place in the long jump. The 4X400-meter relay team of Sydney McLaughlin, Norah Osborne, Raquel Guevara, and Steffi Diaz also took 1st place for the 8th grade girls.
