This note was recently sent to the superintendent by a GMS parent:

Hello! My son is in 8th grade at GMS. He is a very challenging child.  I just wanted to take a moment to let you know what an exceptional teacher Mr. Bryan Kauffman is. Instead of sending my son to the hall,  talking down to him or ‘punishing ‘ him every opportunity he has, he has chosen to show my son grace, compassion, patience and love.  I am truly grateful for him.  He communicates with me about my son’s behavior,  negative or positive.  I feel he honestly cares about my son’s well being and his education.  I have told Mr. Kauffman how much I appreciate him,  but I wanted to let you know as well!!
